National Poetry - October 6th (Parole Parlate and Be:)

National Poetry Day is this Thursday, October 6th.

Celebrate this year by coming to the National Poetry Day Parole Parlate Special. At 7:30pm, upstairs in Little Venice, St. Nicholas street, Worcester. There will be an outstanding line up to mark the occation including the return of Apples and Snakes' Raymond Antrobus (If you haven't already seen him perform you are seriously missing out), and to add to the excitement the evening will be guest compared by our own Theo Theobald, Worcestershire's First ever Poet Laureate!

Are you Game for it? To mark this year’s National Poetry Day theme the poetry team at Be: Magazine are challenging poets to send us their submission of the theme of GAMES. This is open to children or adults and poems may be for adults or children. The best will be published on the magazine website on October 6 and on a special GAMES poetry feature in the first issue of Be: due out late October. Poems must be previously unpublished, should be marked Games Theme and must reach us by midnight (British time!) on Tuesday, October 4. The usual submission criteria apply.
